A Walker's Paradise

With an average walk score of 92–95/100, South Lake Union is easily one of the most pedestrian-friendly spots in Seattle. The neighborhood is built on a flat, easy-to-navigate grid with wide sidewalks, protected crossings, and modern ADA ramps that make getting around smooth for everyone. It makes walking to the lakefront effortless, putting local retail and massive tech campuses like Amazon and Google right at your doorstep.

Neighborhood convenience is at a high around Chroma near the waterfront. With an immediate walk score of 99/100 near our building, you can easily from your local Whole Foods store; a thriving scene of restaurants and coffee shops; independent local retail; major tech campus; and scenic lakefront trails.

While Seattle itself is ranked among the top 10 most walkable large cities in the US, the citywide score is lower (73/100) because it averages out downtown hubs with much steeper or more residential neighborhoods (like Queen Anne's steeper ridges) where cars are more necessary.
