Oversized Windows & SLU Views

Sunlit apartment living room with open French doors to a Juliet balcony, overlooking South Lake Union buildings.

Prioritizing Natural Light

Pacific Northwest days are known for being overcast. To counter this, every floor plan at Chroma features large, oversized windows to capture ambient daylight. By increasing the glass-to-wall ratio, these expansive windows bring soft, indirect light deep into the living spaces, maintaining a bright, open interior environment throughout the winter months. You'll find large windows throught main living and dining areas, as well as bedrooms. Many layouts also incorporate balconies with French doors.

The SLU Microclimate

Positioned in a low-lying basin directly south of the lake, SLU enjoys a more open sky exposure compared to the dense, high-rise core of downtown Seattle. Lake Union creates a natural clearing that allows for more consistent daylight access. Select apartments at Chroma offer scenic views of the lake (located just 3 blocks south), while others overlook the neighborhood's urban canopy.

Uplifting Shared Spaces

Chroma’s shared amenities and resident lounges are graced with expansive, floor-to-ceiling glass walls. Common workspaces and community areas remain bright, open, and charismatically connected to the surrounding urban skyline.
